Ann Arbor, MI – The LaSalle Fire Department in Ontario Canada has implemented OnSite ERT for tracking and locating its firefighters on-scene at emergency events. The Department began training on the system in September 2008, outfitting all of the department’s personnel with OnSite wireless tracking tags and receivers.

When asked why he chose OnSite ERT, Deputy Chief Ken Day replied, “I was looking for an accountability system that would check our guys in automatically on-scene ”. Depty Chief added “OnSite ERT not only provided the automatic check-in I was looking for, but allows us to track our personnel around the fire grounds”. The LaSalle Fire De partment protects approximately 24,000 residents over an area of 46 square miles.
