Churchville Fire Equipment was founded in 1951 by Gerald Spotts, and incorporated in New York State in 1963. When Gerald first started, he personally sold fire extinguishers to local towns and fire departments. This sales effort eventually led to subsequent expansions of the business and new equipment was offered. In 1973 the Company became the regional dealer for Pierce fire apparatus. In the late 1970’s, Churchville Fire also became the exclusive western NYS dealer of Hurst “Jaws of Life" and Mine Safety Appliances (MSA).

Churchville Fire Equipment has continued to expand over the years investing in the assets we deem most important to our commitment to excellence; our employees and state-of-the-art equipment. We hire the best, and with 35 employees spanning Western and Central New York we are able to deliver superior personal customer service to each and every customer. Our professionals enable us to serve as a one stop service and sales shop for the fire industry.

Any piece of fire equipment that is out of service is an emergency. It is a firefighters lifeline. Therefore we have made recent investments to upgrade and expand our mobile fleet for on-site repairs and service available on an emergency 24-7 basis. We have over $1.5 million in inventory to put urgent equipment back in service as soon as possible. We also have expanded our SCBA and fire extinguisher testing facility to deliver efficient and reliable results. Hidden dangers lie in the equipment that firefighters use daily, naked to the human eye. We enable fire departments to promptly remove equipment before it fails in service- saving lives of those who put theirs on the line for others.

Finally, Churchville Fire Equipment has been recognized countless times for superior service from our vendors and manufacturers. One recent highlight includes the 2006 "Service Dealer of the Year" Award from Pierce Manufacturing. Each year Pierce scores their 35 dealers on Sales and Service Performance. Churchville Fire Equipment scored 99 out of 100 possible points and is the first and only dealer to score that high.
