Products Safeguarded by Kovenex® gain wider distribution

CHESTER, Va. - Waubridge Specialty Fabrics, manufacturer of Kovenex high-performance flame-and-tear resistant fabric, today announced that it has added two dealers to its network of distributors of products Safeguarded by Kovenex. Singer Associates will bundle Kovenex Rapid Response Blankets and protective gloves with the extrication tools and heavy equipment it sells, and Carolina Fire Services will offer a full line of blankets and gloves Safeguarded by Kovenex.

Kovenex is used by firefighters and other first responders in a number of products, including the Kovenex Rapid Response Blanket, and the Dragon Fire Alpha structural firefighting, extrication and mechanics gloves by Fireman’s Shield, wherein Kovenex serves as a cut-, tear- and flame-resistant, heat-blocking thermal barrier. Waubridge recently launched the Kovenex Occupational Safety Blanket, designed specifically for use in industrial workplaces such as plants, foundries, mills and other facilities in which fire-related incidents could occur. All products Safeguarded by Kovenex are tested to National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and offer needed protection against fire, intense heat, shattered glass particles and sharp metal edges.
