The HOT SHIELD® Model HS-4 Respirator Housing is extremely heat & flame resistant and is designed exclusively around the Sundstrom SR-100 Half Face Respirator. This Hot Shield housing is constructed of CarbonX®, the only inherently nonflammable fabric in the world.
The HS-4 wrapped around the SR-100 has been designed by firefighters specifically for wildland firefighting, but has found application in other industries that prefer the Sundstrom SR-100 for their employees. The HS-4 CarbonX® Housing matched to the SR-100 is possibly the top of the line facial and respiratory protection option outside of a positive pressure breathing apparatus.
