Job Description

| Redmond Fire Department is hiring for the position of Firefighter. The City of Redmond Fire Department has 137 dedicated employees providing fire and life safety service to the city of Redmond, Fire District 34 Evergreen hospital, Kirkland and Woodinville. The department operates on a 48/96 schedule performing: fire suppression, inspections, fire safety education, rescue, paramedic service, and emergency medical response and transportation to area hospitals. All firefighters are trained as EMTs or paramedics.

Additional Requirement :
Applicants must pass the CPAT and achieve 70 percent or higher on FireTEAM test to qualify to employment (weighted 40 percent). Candidates must have a valid WA State Driver's license with no more than two moving traffic violations within the preceding three years; or reckless driving violation with the preceding five years; or driving while intoxicated within the preceding five years. Applicants will be disqualified for more than one motor vehicle accident within the preceding three years for which the applicant received a traffic or criminal citation and was convicted, forfeited bail or entered a plea of guilty or nolo contendre.
