| Southern Marin Fire Protection District is actively recruiting for the following positions:
Firefighter/Paramedic - Entry Level
Firefighter/Paramedic – Lateral Transfer*

Additional Requirement : MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be a minimum 18 years of age at time of application.
2. High school diploma or GED certificate.
3. Must have a valid Class C driver's license at time of employment.
4. California Firefighter I Certificate of Completion or current enrollment in a recognized Firefighter I Academy. (Completion of a recognized Firefighter I Academy required prior to appointment).
5. Firefighter/Paramedic applicants must have current California State Paramedic license at time of appointment.
6. Must have Marin County paramedic accreditation at time of appointment.

| APPLICATION PROCESS:
Interested parties should complete a Southern Marin Fire District employment application. Applications may be picked up at Southern Marin Fire District - Station 9, 308 Reed Blvd, Mill Valley, CA 94941, or downloaded from www.smfd.org
Applications must include copies of the following:
1. High school diploma or GED Certificate.
2. Current driver's license.
3. Firefighter I Certificate, Firefighter I Academy Completion Certificate, or letter from recognized fire academy verifying current enrollment.
4. Paramedic License or proof of current enrollment.
The Southern Marin FD and City of Sausalito operate under a joint powers/contract for services agreement. The two departments operate as one, however, there are separate contracts for the two agencies and their employees. The immediate vacancy and new hire will fall under the Sausalito contract and be an employee of the City of Sausalito, while working for the Southern Marin Fire Department.
