My goal from the inception of Firefighters Bookstore has been to offer items of use and interest to the entire spectrum of fire and emergency services: candidates to retirees, rookie school to suppression to hazmat, all types of rescue, EMS, wildland, history, pub-ed, communications, prevention, investigation, and more.
My passion is customer service, and am able to deliver this service with the assistance of the best employees on the planet. Along the bookselling road in "FireServiceLand," I’ve met many people who have inspired me, coached me, encouraged me, or pushed or challenged me to do my best, offer the best, hire the best, and never think less than best.
I owe them a HUGE thank you for nudging me or providing an outstanding example of the way to get it done. They have helped make my career and this column a reality: Chad Allison, Paul Andrews, Garry Briese, Alan Brunacini, Chris Childers, Dennis Childress, Paul Curtis, Ronny Coleman, Joe Cucinotti, Tom Flinn, Ed Hadfield, John & Gloria McManus, Jan Nathan, Mark Sauter, Monica Zanotti, and a cast of hundreds of friends, employees, customers, suppliers.
